Job summary

ECS Group of Companies offers a path for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician in Fort Worth, TX. No prior experience is needed as you learn under experienced professionals to safely perform field tasks.

You'll conduct observations, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete, following industry standards. The role includes data reduction, daily site communication, and opportunities for OSHA 10, ACI, NICET, and other certifications.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field activities: observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete on project sites.
• Perform routine field/lab tests following industry standards and guidance from senior staff.
• Collect and reduce data from tests; assist with calculations and admin tasks as needed.
• Maintain communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Receive training in ECS methods for observations, inspections, and testing.
