Job summary

Raba Kistner, Inc. is seeking Construction Materials Technicians I–III to join our team in Houston, TX. You will perform field or laboratory testing, sampling and inspection services on construction materials, coordinating with supervisors and dispatchers to meet deadlines.

The role offers training through Technician I and advancement to II/III based on experience and certifications. Strong safety focus, valid driver’s license, and ability to operate field equipment are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required for Construction Materials Technician In Training.
• For Technician I: at least 6 months in materials testing and 1+ industry certification.
• For Technician II: at least 1 year and 2+ certifications.
• For Technician III: at least 3 years and 3+ certifications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with dispatcher/coordinator to ensure priorities and deadlines are met in both the field and laboratory.
• Meet with supervisors of contractors, engineer/architect representatives and/or other project leads on project sites to discuss and coordinate testing, sampling or inspection of construction materials or construction procedures.
• Follow safety protocols, ensure safe utilization, storage and maintenance of all nuclear gauges and field equipment.
• Communicate project progress and delays to supervisor and dispatcher.
• Submit accurate and complete testing/inspection reports on a daily basis.
• Drive company vehicles to job sites in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
