Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year in materials testing.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Construction Materials Technician II requires 1 year of applicable experience and 2+ industry certifications; Technician III requires 3 years and 3+ certifications.
• Ability to read instructions, labels, reports; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with dispatcher/coordinator to ensure priorities and deadlines are met in both the field and laboratory.
• Meet with supervisors of contractors, engineer/architect representatives and other project leads to discuss and coordinate testing, sampling or inspection of construction materials or procedures.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure safe utilization, storage and maintenance of nuclear gauges and field equipment.
• Communicate project progress and delays to supervisor and dispatcher.
• Submit accurate and complete testing/inspection reports daily.
• Drive company vehicles to job sites in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
