Job summary

Granite Construction is hiring a Construction Materials Quality Control Technician in Salt Lake City, UT. The role tests, samples, and inspects materials to ensure compliance with specifications in either a laboratory or field setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collect/prepare samples of soil, aggregate, hot mix asphalt (HMA) or Portland cement concrete (PCC) in lab or field settings.
  • Perform quality control testing to ensure compliance with supplier/owner specs.
  • Perform inspections to ensure compliance with supplier/owner specs.
  • Prepare and communicate testing results to supervisors to ensure quality standards.
  • Participate in and promote Granite safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Comply with OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations while performing duties.
