Job summary

PRI-CMT, an independent testing laboratory serving the construction materials industry, seeks a Construction Materials Lab Technician in Tampa, FL. You will assist in building laboratory-scale performance testing mock ups and support various build, test, and breakdown projects.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience; 3+ years preferred. Must lift 50+ lbs and be able to work outdoors in Florida summer conditions. English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma / GED.
• Minimum: 1+ years of related experience (e.g. construction worker, contractor, handyman etc.).
• Preferred: 3+ years of related experience (e.g. construction worker, contractor, handyman etc.).
• Communication Skills: Minimum: Able to speak and write English fluently.
• Physical Conditions: Minimum: Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions, including Florida summer outside.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building laboratory scale performance testing mock ups (e.g., 12’ x 24’ roof assemblies, 8’ x 8’ wall assemblies).
• Assist with other types of small and large scale build, test and breakdown projects.
