Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. (HCEA) seeks a Construction Materials Testing Technician for our Owings Mills, MD office.

You will perform field observations, sampling and testing of soil, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials, and prepare daily logs with inspection results. Ideal candidates have reliable transportation, able to lift 60-80 pounds, and good verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 60-80 pounds.
• Work effectively in outdoor climates.
• Detail-oriented with safety adherence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience with field sampling and testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations at jobsites.
• Collect and test soil, aggregates, concrete, and related materials.
• Prepare accurate daily logs with inspection results.
• Communicate project progress to the PM or supervisor.
