Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Chantilly, VA is seeking an entry-level field and laboratory assistant to support construction materials testing and observation activities in the field and lab. You will observe tests on soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials and help document site conditions and testing results.

This role offers hands-on experience with field and lab workflows, equipment preparation, data entry, and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

  • 0 years of related experience.
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or another related degree.
  • One certification must be completed within 90 days of introductory period, and all basic certifications within 270 days.
  • If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in laboratory settings.

Required Qualifications

    • Certifications applicable to the work performed are required
  • If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Military Qualifications
  • The following US Military ranks would qualify for this position:

The expected pay range for this role and location is $20-$22/hour. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
