Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a motivated entry‑level professional to assist with field and laboratory testing of construction materials. You will observe soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials while supporting documentation and equipment preparation.

The role offers exposure to geotechnical, materials testing, and environmental services, with certifications targeted within the first months of employment and the opportunity to work with project teams in field and lab settings.

Qualifications

  • 0 years of related experience required.
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • One certification must be completed within 90 days and all basic certifications within 270 days of employment.
  • If driving for ECS, a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Dependable, detail‑oriented, and organized work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow directions and work under supervision.
  • Basic problem‑solving and observational skills.
  • Willingness to work in outdoor field environments and laboratory settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with construction materials testing and observation in the field and laboratory.
