Job summary

AMECO in Greenville, SC is seeking a Buyer (Internal Title: Spec II, Material Mgmt) to manage material orders, pricing, and procurement support for internal project teams. This full-time role requires knowledge of the construction industry and a strong sense of ethics.

You will collaborate with Purchasing Management and across Engineering, Project Data, and Construction to source materials, quote vendors, and issue purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery and compliance with AMECO policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with two years of relevant experience, or six years combined education/experience.
• Experience in material management, sourcing or procurement within construction preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, colleagues, vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage material and rental orders with oversight from Material Management.
• Monitor and report supplier/vendor performance per purchase orders or rental agreements.
• Collaborate across Material Management, Project Support, SQS/Quality, Engineering, PDDM, and Construction.
• Source, price, and quote materials, tools, equipment, and third-party rentals to support project needs.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, rental agreements, and change orders.
• Track purchasing documents from pre-commitment through PO issuance and filing.
