Job summary

Midsouth Steel Inc. is seeking a motivated Material Handler to support construction projects by ensuring timely flow of materials and supplies. You will work closely with project managers to coordinate handling, storage, and delivery of materials, contributing to project success.

The position involves a M-TH 5a-3:30p shift with optional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays, and requires adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven experience as a Material Handler in construction.
• Proficiency with material handling procedures and safety protocols.
• Experience operating forklifts and related equipment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies.
• Organize and maintain inventory in a neat, accessible manner.
• Prepare materials for delivery or pickup, including labeling and securing loads.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Assist in loading/unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles.
• Coordinate with project managers to prioritize deliveries per project schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems.
