The role requires a high school diploma, forklift operation skills, and strong safety awareness. The schedule is M-TH 5a-3:30p with optional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a Material Handler in construction is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of material handling procedures and safety protocols is essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies.
• Organise and maintain inventory in an orderly and accessible manner.
• Prepare materials for delivery or pickup, including packaging and labeling.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials onto trucks and vehicles.
• Collaborate with project managers to prioritize material deliveries based on project schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and update systems accordingly.
• Assist in resolving material-related issues or discrepancies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Material Handler in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of material handling procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to accurately track and record inventory
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software
