Pape-Dawson Engineers in Plano, Texas, seeks a Construction Manager to oversee water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects from pre-construction through closeout. The role requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree and 8+ years of progressive construction management experience, with CMAR/ Design-Build

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8 years of progressive construction management experience on water, wastewater, utility, or public infrastructure projects.
• Experience with CMAR, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.
• Proficiency with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and AI-enabled construction technologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality to support on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Lead project administration activities such as RFIs, submittals, change management, pay applications, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, agencies, and internal disciplines to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
• Maintain and review project documentation and reporting to track progress, compliance, and risks.
• Promote job site safety and oversee applicable environmental compliance requirements.
• Lead and mentor project staff, supporting team development and effective workload coordination
• Facilitate startup/commissioning activities, punch lists, and coordination with supporting teams (e.g., document control, survey, environmental, land acquisition) as applicable.
• Support constructability reviews and value engineering efforts to improve delivery efficiency.
