Job summary

Geometrics seeks multiple Construction Managers for vertical projects to lead airport infrastructure improvements. You will oversee utility, roads and vertical construction across concourse and terminal areas, aligning work with plans, specs and regulatory standards. Strong code knowledge and aviation familiarity are essential.

The role requires navigating design docs, contract specs, and coordination with inspectors, PMs, and contractors to maintain momentum and safety at all times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Architecture, Project or Construction Management or related.
  • Minimum three years of experience managing projects of similar size, type and complexity.
  • Familiarity with building codes, FAA regulations, airport safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; scheduling software and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of vertical construction within concourse and terminal areas, ensuring compliance with plans and standards.
  • Coordinate daily activities with contractors and a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Review contractor schedules, monitor progress, and identify risks or delays.
  • Support change management by assessing proposed changes and approvals.
  • Interpret design documents, technical specs, and contract requirements with accuracy.
  • Ensure activities meet minimum code requirements and quality standards.
  • Communicate across teams to resolve field issues and maintain momentum.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Provide field oversight and daily inspection documentation.
  • Collaborate with inspectors and PMs to verify quantities and support pay reviews.
  • Occasional night-time work may be required.

Summary

Geometrics is seeking multiple Construction Managers – Vertical Projects to support key infrastructure improvements on airport projects. The construction manager oversees utility, roads and vertical construction projects across the airport. This role will support both new construction and renovation efforts, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications, regulatory standards, and stakeholder expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of current environmental codes and regulatory requirements applicable to airport-related construction. Candidates will be well-versed in all phases of vertical building construction, familiar with minimum code requirements, and capable of navigating design documents and contract specifications with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all phases of vertical construction within concourse and terminal areas, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate daily activities with contractors and a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Review and evaluate contractor schedules, monitor progress, and identify potential risks or delays
  • Support the change management process by assessing proposed changes and facilitating necessary approvals
  • Navigate and interpret design documents, technical specifications, and contract requirements with accuracy and confidence
  • Ensure construction activities meet minimum code requirements and quality standards
  • Communicate effectively across teams to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making and issue resolution
  • Provide field oversight and documentation, including daily inspection reports and tracking of deficiencies
  • Collaborate with inspectors and project managers to verify installed quantities and support pay application reviews
  • Be available for occasional night-time work as required by project schedules or operational need

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degreefrom an accredited college or universityin Engineering, Architecture,Projector Construction Managementor related.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing projects of similar size, type and complexity.Previous aviation project/construction management experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with building codes and standards, and ability to interpret design documents and contract specifications
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, airport safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. With proficiency in scheduling software and MS Office Suites.
  • Valid Driver's License
