ASAP (Allied Staff Augmentation Partners, Inc.) is hiring a skilled and experienced Sports & Recreation Construction Manager for a long-term, on-site role supporting a large-scale building program in Queens, NY. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the construction oversight of a high-visibility, multi-year initiative, with a preferred focus in sports and recreation facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and manage construction activities for major structures and systems.
  • Collaborate with owners, contractors, and design professionals to address work procedures, site challenges, and progress issues.
  • Assist in project procurement, contract administration, and vendor selection.
  • Manage scheduling, budget tracking, and coordination of project milestones.
  • Oversee QA/QC plans, safety compliance, and building permit processes.
  • Conduct and participate in regular construction meetings and maintain accurate progress documentation.
  • Review and recommend approvals for contractor invoices and change orders.
  • Contribute to cost reporting, project closeout, and punch list resolution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or 8+ years of relevant construction supervisory experience in lieu of degree).
  • At least 4 years of construction management experience; experience with sports, recreation, or hospitality projects preferred.
  • OSHA 30-hour safety training certification required.
  • Proficiency in web-based construction management platforms and tools (MS Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead meetings, organize documentation, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
