Job summary

International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead residential and multi-unit projects in the Denver area. You will work closely with in-house design and engineering staff and third-party trades to deliver on time and on budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Architectural Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in construction management, with residential or multi-family wood-frame projects.
  • Deep understanding of residential building codes, structural standards, and construction sequencing.
  • Strong financial literacy with experience managing budgets, processing trade invoices, and coordinating with lenders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and contract-management skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with CM software/scheduling platforms.
  • Proven ability to run multiple job sites simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee residential construction projects from preconstruction to final delivery, managing schedules, quality, and procurement.
  • Source, qualify, and manage 1099 contractors and trade partners, ensuring compliance and schedule adherence.
  • Handle project controls and accounting, including cost-to-complete tracking and budget reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, structural specifications, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate communication between clients, in-house architects/engineers, inspectors, and field crews.
  • Support general company operations and high-level management tasks as needed.
