Meta (through TEKsystems) seeks a Construction Manager for Owners Rep to lead field activities on a data center project near Social Circle, GA. You will direct day-to-day field operations, coordinate with GC and vendors, and ensure schedule and budget compliance while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role is a 30-month contract, W2, based in Atlanta/Social Circle, with relocation per diem and PTO. Start August 2026; onsite work environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or CM and related field.
  • Experience 5–10+ years in CM of large-scale projects including data center or mission-critical environments.
  • Proven ability to oversee GC/vendors, QA, and reporting.
  • Strong cost tracking, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day field work and manage project schedule and costs.
  • Review GC plans, procurement, and subcontractor activity.
  • Maintain safety programs and ensure quality as per specs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and attend progress and OAC meetings.
  • Monitor site logistics, inspections, and vendor coordination.

Title: Construction Manager - Owners Rep

Location: Social Circle, GA

Duration: 30 months + extensions

Pay Rate: Up to $100/hr

Per Diem: Yes (for those relocating or traveling)

PTO: 3 weeks

Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of experience with Construction Management of large-scale projects
  • Any experience in data center, critical facility, or mission critical environments
  • Experience overseeing General Contractor & external vendors
  • Proficiency in project documentation, quality assurance, and progress reporting
  • Strong skills in cost tracking, scheduling, and problem-solving

The Construction Manager will be directly responsible for monitoring and refining the long-range and short-term plans to ensure the success of the construction project. The Construction Manager will direct and coordinate the day-to-day activities in the field, manage and coordinate the flow of information, control costs, manage and control the schedule, implement and monitor the safety programs, and verify that the completed work is constructed to a quality level consistent with the requirements of the construction documents. The Construction Manager will perform cross-function tasks to coordinate with various project teams, in addition but not limited to General Contractors, Vendors, and Consultants to delivery projects.

The Construction Manager works directly for the DC Ops Field Management (FOI), Sr. Field Ops Construction Program Manager supporting the strategic and tactical delivery of the data center projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and/or coordinate with operations personnel and resources for the projects.
  • Assist with preconstruction efforts.
  • Manage all aspects of the project from inception through closeout.
  • Review GC/Contractor Project Executive Plan.
  • Review trade contracts and bid packages, as well as oversee the procurement process.
  • Assist with developing scope of work and reviewing proposals for the following: General Contractors (GC), Equipment Vendors, Commissioning Agent, Testing and Inspection Agent.
  • Oversee performance of project including but not limited to project status, procurement, equipment delivery, schedule, cost control, safety and change management systems.
  • Maintain relationships with with internal partners, designers, consultants, and the GC team.
  • Attend and POC lead for GC/Contractor project OAC meetings, including progress, pre-construction and pre-award.
  • Coordinate with internal team inspection and test data review for compliance with specifications and company standards.
  • Coordinate with the internal team to perform reviews of the GC/Contractor site logistics plan, procurement plans, safety plans, and schedules during development for compliance and acceptance.
  • Coordinate with internal team and GC/Contractor/Vendors during MSOW submissions and reviews, including scheduling escorts.
  • Coordinate with internal team and GC/Contractor/Vendors site blackout dates and stop work notifications.
  • Perform regular project walks to review works in place for progress updates, schedule update verification, invoice and quality review.
  • Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment (IFE) through own actions, mentoring others, and enforcing IFE program on projects.

  • Knowledge of design, bidding and construction processes, quality control, costs, risks, schedule and safety to drive project completion on-time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of construction delivery methods: Design-build, design-bid build, CM-at Risk, and Design Assist.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk assessment and management.
  • Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Procore or sim PMIS, Microsoft Outlook and TEAMs, OneNote, etc.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • CCM, PMI or PMP certification preferred, or similar applicable certifications.

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00/hr.
