Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with applicable experience.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience OR 5+ years with an engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital, maintenance, reliability, and improvement projects across FEL, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup and closeout.
• Work with engineering, operations, maintenance, turnaround teams, contractors, vendors, and procurement groups to deliver safe, compliant outcomes.
• Manage project plans, execution strategies, budgets, schedules, risks, and performance metrics.
• Monitor progress, costs, forecasts, and change management to ensure on-time delivery.

Airswift is looking for a Construction Manager III to work for a major O&G company in Lake Charles, LA, for a 2 years assignment. This opportunity is suited to a professional with strong project execution and construction management expertise within a refinery, manufacturing, or chemical industry environment. The role is focused on leading capital, maintenance, reliability, and improvement projects through Front-End Loading, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout. This position offers broad cross-functional exposure, working closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, turnaround teams, contractors, vendors, and procurement groups to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality project outcomes.

Required Education:

An engineering degree may be used in combination with the stated experience requirement

Required Experience:

Either 10+ years of manufacturing experience or 5 years of experience supported by an engineering degree 5 or more years of maintenance, construction management, and/or engineering experience Experience leading projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout Experience managing projects up to $10 million in value Experience coordinating across engineering, construction, operations, maintenance, turnaround teams, contractors, vendors, and procurement groups

Required Skills:

Working knowledge of Front-End Loading development, project execution, estimating, scheduling, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout Working knowledge of management of change, project controls, contractor management, and technical document control Ability to develop and manage project plans, execution strategies, budgets, schedules, risks, and performance metrics Ability to resolve technical issues, design changes, field modifications, and nonconformances Ability to monitor project progress, costs, forecasts, and change management to maintain project delivery Strong communication skills Ability to prioritize and execute multiple project assignments Ability to conduct field visits and work safely in refinery and construction environments Demonstrated high safety standards

Required Certifications:

Must be willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

Preferred Qualifications:

15+ years of project execution or maintenance experience in refining and/or the chemical industry Experience with project or maintenance work at Excel ParaLubes or Lake Charles facilities 2 or more years of experience with cost or project controls
