About this position

This is a TEMPORARY position lasting up to 6 months

The Construction Manager II is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a construction project, including planning, organizing, and monitoring the progress of the team. The Construction Manager II will ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards by coordinating subcontractors, workers, and materials. The Construction Manager II must maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety regulations. They will also communicate project status updates to clients and management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and supervise construction workers and subcontractors on site, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular site inspections, and address safety concerns.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and construction crew.
  • Prepare and maintain project documents including reports, change orders, permits, and invoices.

  • Actsasthecompanycontactinthe fieldwithademonstratedabilitytotroubleshoot/solveissuesand coordinate with other trades/clients with minimal supervision.

  • Reviewsandcompilesreports;suchasinspectionreports,tool,equipmentandsupplyusageandsafety reports.
  • Requiredtoattenddailyand/orweeklymeetingsandmanageprojectschedules.Schedulecrews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project completion
  • Performqualitycontroldutiesandresponsibilitiesregardingtheworkbeingperformed
  • Ensurethesubcontractorisfullyexecutingandcomplyingwiththecontractedscopeofwork
  • Ensurescrewmembersareincompliancewithcompanyandcustomersafetyrequirements.Inspectsall tools and rigging gear to ensure they are safe to use.
  • Reportsanyworkers’compinjuriesorotherincidents.
  • Maintainandreportdailyactivitiestotheconstruction manager andprojectmanager
  • Identifyconflictsintheconstructionprogressandcommunicatethemtotheprojectteamforresolution
  • Investigatesandadjustscustomercomplaintsregardingquality.Ensurecrewsandsubcontractorhas corrected all deficiencies identified
  • Ensurethejobsiteisalwayskeptinasafe,clean,andorganizedmanner
  • Performjobandprogressandcompletionpunchlistidentificationandcompletion
  • Other closely related work may include physical tasks and menial tasks such as; timesheet and other recordkeeping,completingJobSafetyAnalysis,adjustingequipmentandtools,complyingdatatocreate documents or reports and presentations.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, including scheduling delays or quality concerns.
  • Manage the delivery and coordination of materials and equipment to the job site.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’sdegreeinConstruction Management orBusinessAdministrationis preferred.
  • Minimum5plusyearsrelatedexperience.
  • Experienceinwireless/telecomservicesasignificantplusexperiencewithMicrosoftOffice(ExcelAccess,PowerPoint,Word,Outlook) programs.
  • Good communication skills, reading and writing skills (English)
  • Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be able to accommodate out of town travel, if required.
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment.
  • ComTrain, OSHA30, RF Awareness Training, First AID/CPR trained.
  • Must have experience with Anritsu Site Master, Andrew, PPC, tower mapping and antenna equipment.
  • Must have experience stacking self-support towers, installing waveguide, antennas and microwave dishes.
  • RF Awareness, replacement and maintenance i.e. coax, jumpers, TMA’s, connectors and weatherproofing
  • Highly organized and be able to effectively report verbally and written reports back to the Tower Construction Manager.
  • Experience in managing employees – hiring, terminating, completing performance reviews, allocating work, setting schedules, training, etc.
