Job summary

Forgen is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the execution of assigned projects across Texas and Louisiana. You will drive safety, quality, and profitability, coordinate with project management and craft teams, and ensure schedules and resources align with project plans.

You will recruit and supervise field staff, manage procurement, and enforce safety programs across multiple sites. A strong background in heavy civil construction and client interaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Ten years+ of heavy civil construction and soil improvement supervisory experience.
• Experience overseeing superintendents, foremen, craft labor, and subcontractors.
• Experience leading safety meetings and initiatives.
• Experience in proposals and construction methodology strategy.
• Experience with clients and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Own the successful execution of projects, interfacing with PMs, superintendents, crafts, and vendors.
• Recruit, train, and manage field teams including site supervisors and laborers.
• Promote safety and enforce company policies.
• Contribute to profit and loss of operations.
• Communicate assignments clearly to field personnel.
• Assist in generating schedules and understanding critical path logic.
• Provide equipment as directed by PM.
• Manage disciplinary actions and layoffs/reassignments.
• Ensure on-time, within-spec project execution with quality and safety.
• Assist cost administration with forecasts and production planning.
• Support procurement and subcontractor tracking.
