Construction Manager

Pay: $130,000 – $180,000 annually (DOE) + benefits

Location: Abilene, TX

Overview

The Construction Manager is the senior-most field leadership position on assigned projects. This role is responsible for organizing and driving field execution using schedule, planning, and engineering inputs to ensure successful project delivery.

The Construction Manager partners closely with the client and project leadership to uphold safety standards, achieve performance goals, and ensure accountability across safety, productivity, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee craft supervision and field support personnel
• Plan, deploy, and manage field resources efficiently
• Drive overall field performance, including safety, productivity, and quality outcomes
• Coordinate schedules with project controls and implement field execution priorities
• Collaborate with other trades to resolve installation conflicts
• Understand, manage, and execute project scope of work
• Identify and escape out-of-scope work
• Report personnel and human resource issues to leadership as needed
• Ensure completion of all field reporting and documentation
• Coordinate with design and BIM teams to support project execution

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Construction Manager, Superintendent, or similar field leadership role
• Background managing electrical, telecom, or mission‑critical/data center construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, field operations, and coordination processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive performance
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on large‑scale data center projects
• Familiarity with commissioning, turnover, and closeout processes
• Experience working with project controls, BIM coordination, and subcontract management
