Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager for its Sacramento or Davis, CA offices.

The role oversees civil earthwork, infrastructure, and environmental construction from design through completion, coordinating with clients, engineers, and contractors on large multi-phase projects. The candidate will lead safety programs, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with project specifications, while maintaining robust documentation and client communication.

Qualifications

• Geosyntec seeks candidates with multiple education/experience paths in construction management.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage construction work per specs, drawings, and plans.
• Communicate design modifications to the Engineer-of-Record.
• Provide safety leadership on all projects and enforce health and safety plans.
• Review RFIs, submittals, clarifications, payments timely.
• Review QC procedures and ensure completeness and compliance.
• Maintain project communications files.
• Track schedules, CPM, and assist with optimizing CPM tasks.
• Prepare weekly meeting agendas and minutes.
• Review change orders and contractor requests with client guidance.
• Review field documentation and laboratory tests for compliance.
• Organize field offices and maintain professional work environment.
• Identify staffing needs to meet project demand.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, clients to ensure team alignment.
• Drive company vehicles to project sites as needed.
