Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager in Costa Mesa, CA to lead diverse civil earthwork, infrastructure, remediation, and landfill construction projects on multi-phase programs.

You will manage construction from concept to delivery, coordinating engineers, clients, and contractors to drive project success. The role requires strong field leadership, adherence to safety plans, and experience with CPM scheduling and project controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction management with strong field leadership.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software (Word/Excel/Outlook/Access/PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of CPM scheduling and project controls.
• Ability to communicate design changes clearly to engineers and clients.
• Strong safety leadership and adherence to health and safety plans.
• Willingness to travel to field sites and work in varied locations.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage construction work per specifications, drawings, and plans.
• Communicate proposed design modifications to Engineer-of-Record promptly and professionally.
• Provide safety leadership and ensure adherence to site safety plans and guidelines.
• Review RFIs, submittals, clarifications, and pay applications in a timely manner.
• Review and approve QC procedures and material submittals for compliance.
• Maintain project files and monitoring of schedules and CPM progress.
• Prepare weekly meeting agendas and minutes in a timely manner.
• Review change orders and recommend approvals to the client as appropriate.
• Interact with contractors, project managers, engineers and clients to maintain an integrated team.
• Drive to client or project sites and other locations as needed.
