Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma and ten years of relevant experience in construction management.
• An associate degree or college diploma and a minimum of eight years of applicable experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in construction science/management, engineering, environmental science or related field and at least five years of experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience and training meeting the required knowledge and skills.
• Prior experience managing infrastructure construction or environmental remediation projects with high safety standards.
• Experience with CPM software is preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) is required.
• Strong ability to work at construction sites in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage construction work per technical specs, drawings and plans.
• Communicate design modifications and concerns with Engineer-of-Record.
• Provide safety leadership and adhere to site health and safety plans.
• Review RFIs, submittals, clarifications and pay applications in a timely manner.
• Review QC procedures and material submittals for compliance.
• Maintain project communications files and records.
• Monitor schedules, CPM analysis and progress with optimization where possible.
• Prepare weekly meeting agendas and minutes.
• Approve field changes and change orders for out-of-scope work.
• Review change orders and advise client on merit; approve if delegated.
• Review field documentation and lab tests for compliance.
• Set up and maintain field offices for professionalism.
• Identify staff requirements to meet project demands.
• Collaborate with contractors, project managers and clients for an integrated team.
• Drive company vehicles to project sites as needed.
