Job summary
Fairfax County Government seeks a Construction Manager (Engineering/Architecture) to oversee all phases of construction contract administration for capital improvement projects. You will review plans and bids, analyze schedules and costs, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with stakeholders.
The role requires deep experience in construction management, contract administration, and proficiency with project scheduling tools.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a four-year college/university with bachelor’s in engineering or architectural field.
- Four years of progressively responsible professional experience in the engineering/architectural field.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction contract administration for capital projects.
- Review plans, specs and schedules; analyze costs and safety.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and manage change orders and bid processes.
- Ensure quality control and timely project closeout activities.
- Lead pre-bid, pre-construction and contract administration meetings.
