Dream Finders Homes is seeking a Construction Manager 2 for the St. Johns County and Palm Coast regions. You will oversee residential construction, ensure safety and quality, and maintain build schedules across multiple communities.

The role requires 2+ years in residential construction, a valid driver's license, and preferably a Bachelor's in Construction Management with knowledge of Florida codes. Travel to job sites will be required as part of field and office work.

Construction Manager 2 - St John's County/Palm Coast

Come build your career with Dream Finders Homes, one of the fastest-growing public homebuilding companies in the US! We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee residential construction operations across our communities in the St. Johns County and Palm Coast areas.

Working in a fast-paced environment, the Construction Manager will ensure quality execution, maintain strict workplace safety standards, and manage local build schedules efficiently to deliver high-quality homes on tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Blueprint & Budget Management: Ensure accuracy of blueprints and takeoffs while actively managing budget variances.
• Purchasing & Trade Coordination: Partner with the purchasing department to address supply chain and trade contractor needs across local job sites.
• Builder Partnership & Oversight:
  • Enforce strict quality control standards throughout every phase of construction.
  • Coordinate builder loading, start timing, and build pace.
  • Facilitate regular communication with sales teams to streamline orders, maximize home closings, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Lead weekly team meetings and individual planned encounters.
  • Review and approve subcontractor purchase orders.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of residential construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle for travel across job sites in St. Johns County and the Palm Coast area.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Deep understanding of Florida building codes and local municipal guidelines.
• 2+ years in production residential homebuilding.
• Experience with homebuilding software (e.g., "BuildPro").
• Demonstrated supervisory or trade management experience.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Environment: Split between field site visits and local office/job trailer settings. Noise levels range from quiet to moderate construction activity.
• Physical Requirements: Frequently required to walk, stand, climb stairs, reach, lift/move up to 50 lbs, and operate tools/business machinery.
