Construction Manager – Power Generation (West Texas)
Construction Manager to support multiple new Power Generation (Powergen) projects launching in the coming months in West Texas. The selected candidate will start immediately, working alongside an established CM to get trained on project‑specific standards and processes. Once up to speed, this individual will transition into the lead CM role on upcoming projects, with strong potential for continued placement across a growing Powergen portfolio. These are high‑visibility projects with significant executive involvement. This role requires a CM who performs at the highest level, communicates proactively, and thrives under pressure and close oversight.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all construction activities for Powergen facilities from mobilization through mechanical completion and commissioning
- Ensure project execution aligns with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements
- Coordinate subcontractors, craft labor, and materials across multiple active workfronts
- Communicate regularly and clearly with senior project leadership and executive stakeholders
- Identify and resolve field issues promptly; document and elevate as needed
- Enforce all site safety programs, HSE protocols, and project‑specific construction standards
- Maintain accurate daily reports, RFI logs, submittals, and project documentation
- Absorb project standards during onboarding and apply them independently on subsequent projects
Required Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of construction management experience in energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑discipline projects from start to completion
- Strong communication skills with experience interfacing directly with executive‑level project directors
- Ability to perform under pressure in a high‑scrutiny, detail‑oriented environment
- Proficient with project management tools, scheduling software, and reporting systems
- Must be able to mobilize immediately and work on‑site in West Texas
Preferred Qualifications
The following are not required but will carry significant weight:
- Power Generation (Powergen) construction experience — strongly preferred
- Background in compressor stations, gas processing, or midstream infrastructure
- EPC project experience with direct owner‑representative accountability
