Job summary

The Fordy Group is partnering with a major global infrastructure contractor to seek an experienced Construction Manager to oversee water and wastewater construction projects from planning through completion in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will lead project teams, work directly with clients and subcontractors, and drive delivery of critical infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 7–10+ years of water/wastewater construction experience, strong leadership and contract-management capabilities, and

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of water/wastewater construction experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in CM/CS/CE.
  • Experience managing complex construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Procore and/or Bluebeam proficiency preferred; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of water/wastewater construction projects from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and resource requirements.
  • Prepare and manage budget estimates while monitoring costs and financial performance.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget, adjusting as needed.
  • Plan and oversee construction activities across assigned projects.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Select, contract and manage subcontractors and specialty contractors.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to meet contractual requirements.

The Fordy Group are partnered with a major global infrastructure contractor to help seek an experienced Construction Manager to oversee major water and wastewater construction projects from initial planning through completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take ownership of complex projects, lead project teams, work directly with clients and subcontractors, and play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure across Texas.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the planning and execution of water/wastewater construction projects from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Prepare and manage budget estimates while monitoring project costs and financial performance.
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget, making adjustments when unexpected challenges arise.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction activities across assigned projects.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Select, contract, and manage subcontractors and specialty contractors.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure work meets contractual requirements, plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Manage contracts, change orders, revisions, and additions.
  • Resolve construction, design, scheduling, and contractual issues with project stakeholders.
  • Respond effectively to delays, weather events, emergencies, and other challenges.
  • Build strong working relationships with owners, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Provide leadership and direction throughout the entire project lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of water/wastewater construction experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, codes, and regulations.
  • Experience managing complex construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Procore and/or Bluebeam is highly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering, architectural, and construction drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is preferred.
