Job summary

SERVPRO of Newtown/Yardley/New Hope/Levittown & North East Chester County is seeking a Construction Manager to lead customer-focused restoration projects. You will oversee the construction process, educate clients on upgrades, and ensure estimates align with client requirements while coordinating with subcontractors and engineers as needed.

The role involves planning, organizing, and managing crews, schedules, and budgeted scopes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in restoration and/or construction is preferred.
• Proficient use of Xactimate estimating software is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for customer service and management of the customer experience
• Educate customer on the construction process
• Work with customers to understand desired upgrades/changes
• Ensure that estimates meet client requirements
• Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project
• Create an accurate sketch and initial scope of work for construction projects
• Deliver a consistent and well-defined initial estimate
• Recognize project constraints and/or needed upgrades
• Identify and document finalized project scope of work
• Work with outside resources as necessary to complete accurate estimate (i.e., Structural Engineers, ITEL, Electrical Inspectors, etc.)
• Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates
• Compile and resolve punch list items
• Perform final walk-through with customer
• Secure a signed Certificate of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from customer
• Manage all warranty activities
• Evaluate and sell projects
• Educate customers on construction process
• Identify and document project scope of work
• Create and Review estimates
• Obtain customer and client agreement on scope and estimate
• Review budgets
• Ensure proper permits are acquired
• Create project schedule and timeline
• Identify and qualify subcontractors and resource providers
• Negotiate terms and set expectations
• Plan, organize, and manage crews and subcontractors
• Schedule all subcontractors and material suppliers
• Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work

Position Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• 2 years previous construction estimating and/or insurance adjusting experience preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Superb customer service track record
• Effective written and oral communication
• Advanced math skills
• Proficient use of Xactimate™ estimating software strongly preferred
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Team Player
• Must have good driving record
• Experience in restoration and/or construction required

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Walking and/or standing throughout the day
• Frequent driving and sitting
• Occasionally climbing ladders
• Occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat
• Occasionally loud conditions at individual jobsites

Competitive Pay starts at $50k base salary with strong commission and bonus earning potential

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
