Role Description

The Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Orlando, FL, responsible for overseeing construction and renovation projects within the surgery center and associated facilities. This role plans, coordinates, and supervises all phases of construction, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The Construction Manager monitors progress, ensures work meets quality and regulatory standards, and enforces construction safety practices that support a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Daily responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, tracking budgets and costs, managing project controls and documentation, and resolving field issues promptly. The role works closely with leadership, clinical teams, and facilities staff to minimize operational disruptions and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with healthcare facility requirements.

Qualifications
  • Strong construction management background, including hands-on experience in Construction and familiarity with healthcare or commercial facility projects.
  • Proficiency in Project Control, including scheduling, progress tracking, documentation, and coordination among multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated Supervisory Skills, with experience leading on-site teams, subcontractors, and vendors in a collaborative, inclusive manner.
  • Experience with Budgeting, cost control, and forecasting to keep projects on time and within financial targets.
  • Solid understanding of Construction Safety principles, codes, and regulations, with a proven record of maintaining safe job sites.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate with clinical staff and leadership in an active healthcare environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering, and MEP drawings and specifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities in a live clinical setting.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCM, PMP, OSHA safety training) are beneficial.
