Job summary

Epic HCM in Torrance, CA, focuses on hospitals and healthcare facilities. Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare construction experience with a general contractor or CM firm.
• Working knowledge of HCAI/OSHPD, CBC Part 1 and 2, and healthcare building codes.
• Hands-on experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders and closeout on hospital projects.
• An organized, detail-driven approach, with strong follow-through on documentation.
• Clear communication with clinical staff, designers and contractors.
• Must have: experience working in occupied hospitals

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior CM in representing the owner with architects, engineers, contractors, and clinical staff.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change order reviews, meeting minutes, logs and closeout records.
• Update schedules, budgets and cost reports, and flag risks to the Senior CM early.
• Walk the site regularly to check progress, quality, and whether work matches the plans and specs.
• Coordinate HCAI (formerly OSHPD) inspections, ICRA/infection control, and work in occupied hospitals.
• Run regular project meetings and track action items through to completion.
• Draft progress reports and presentations for the Senior CM and client leadership.

Epic HCM is a construction management firm focused on hospitals and healthcare facilities. We act as the owner's representative from early design through preconstruction, construction and closeout. Our job is to make sure healthcare clients get safe, compliant, well-run projects that serve patients. We're a small, accountable team that works closely with our clients.

The Role

You'll report to a Senior Construction Manager and manage the day-to-day work on hospital and healthcare projects for our clients. You'll keep the details moving: documentation, schedules, budgets, field checks and coordination. That keeps projects safe, on schedule, on budget and in compliance with HCAI. It's a strong path toward a Construction Manager role.
