If you’re an expert in residential construction and committed to precision and excellence, we’d love to meet you!

About The Role

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of construction projects. From working closely with key stakeholders to ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standards, you’ll be the trusted leader guiding the project to completion. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to delivering a high-quality product will make you the authority on the project.

In this role, you’ll act as the bridge between clients, design teams, contractors, and your internal team. You’ll be responsible for managing the project’s progress while resolving issues, inspecting the work, and ensuring that both the schedule and the budget are maintained. Ultimately, the Construction Manager ensures the successful and timely completion of each project with a focus on craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage the entire construction process from start to finish, ensuring the project aligns with both client expectations and company standards.
  • Establish trust with clients and key stakeholders by providing expert guidance and leading the project with confidence and authority.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and trade contractors to ensure clarity and accuracy of construction plans, resolving any discrepancies that arise.
  • Set quality standards for the project and communicate them clearly to all teams, ensuring that the finished product meets our high level of craftsmanship.
  • Oversee construction schedules, proactively resolving any timing conflicts or delays to keep the project on track.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to verify the quality of work, address any issues immediately, and ensure compliance with project scope and expectations.
  • Lead meetings with clients and other key stakeholders, providing updates on the project’s schedule, quality, and any estimates or changes.
  • Manage and mentor Schmid & Rhodes Foremen, ensuring jobsite efficiency and leadership.
  • Partner with the Project Administrator to ensure seamless communication, documentation, procurement of materials, and issue resolution throughout the project.
  • Oversee all invoices and resolve any discrepancies, giving final approval on payments to trade contractors and vendors.
  • Provide comprehensive internal reporting, keeping the team and stakeholders informed on schedule status, estimates, and project progression.
What We’re Looking For

The ideal Construction Manager will have a deep understanding of residential construction, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. We are seeking someone who can take charge of the project, problem-solve effectively, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Is an experienced residential building expert who understands the intricacies of custom home building.
  • Is committed to precision, accuracy, and craftsmanship, ensuring that each detail is executed to the highest standard.
  • Has a professional, approachable, and diplomatic communication style, both in managing teams and interacting with clients.
  • Is confident in their leadership, comfortable making decisions, and capable of driving a project to completion on time and within budget.
  • Has excellent problem-solving skills, is resourceful, and can adapt quickly to changes.
  • Is an effective communicator, able to manage both written and verbal communications with all project stakeholders.
  • Is highly organized and driven by a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
