Job summary

Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. in Louisiana is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee field activities on municipal and public works projects, coordinate with project managers, clients, and contractors, and ensure delivery from pre-construction to closeout.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or related degree, 5+ years of construction management experience, strong leadership and communication, and proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with Headlight or Procore is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction management or construction administration on municipal or public works projects.
• Strong understanding of public infrastructure construction (roads, drainage, utilities, etc.).
• Experience with municipal clients, DOTD, or similar agencies.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, project scheduling, change order review and cost control.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) with ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Construction Manager to play a key role within Digital Engineering’s Construction Engineering & Inspection Strategic Business Unit. This position is responsible for overseeing construction activities, coordinating with project managers, clients, and contractors, and ensuring successful project delivery from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, leadership, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage complex projects and collaborate effectively across teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction management or construction administration on municipal or public works projects

• Experience working with municipal clients, DOTD, or similar agencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Louisiana
• Experience with water/wastewater collection and treatment facilities, drainage infrastructure and roadway projects
• Familiarity with Louisiana procurement and permitting processes
• Certifications such as CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PMP (Project Management Professional)
• Proficiency with project management software and construction documentation tools (i.e. Headlight, Procore, etc.)
• Experience in LADOTD construction engineering and inspection services; in particular to services provided on projects administered in conjunction with a Local Public Agency (LPA)
