Job summary

Digital Engineering is seeking a Construction Manager to lead construction activities on municipal and public works projects in the Baton Rouge area. You will coordinate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure delivery from pre-construction through closeout.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background with 5+ years of experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and construction software such as

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction management or construction administration on municipal or public works projects.
  • Strong understanding of public infrastructure construction (roads, drainage, utilities, etc.).
  • Experience working with municipal clients, DOTD, or similar agencies.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, project scheduling, change order review and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software programs.

Are you looking to make a meaningful impact on infrastructure projects? We are seeking a Construction Manager to play a key role within Digital Engineering’s Construction Engineering & Inspection Strategic Business Unit. This position is responsible for overseeing construction activities, coordinating with project managers, clients, and contractors, and ensuring successful project delivery from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, leadership, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage complex projects and collaborate effectively across teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction management or construction administration on municipal or public works projects
  • Strong understanding of public infrastructure construction (roads, drainage, utilities, etc.)
  • Experience working with municipal clients, DOTD, or similar agencies
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, project scheduling, change order review and cost control
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Louisiana
  • Experience with water/wastewater collection and treatment facilities, drainage infrastructure and roadway projects
  • Familiarity with Louisiana procurement and permitting processes
  • Certifications such as CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • Proficiency with project management software and construction documentation tools (i.e. Headlight, Procore, etc.)
  • Experience in LADOTD construction engineering and inspection services; in particular to services provided on projects administered in conjunction with a Local Public Agency (LPA)
