Job summary

Freese and Nichols, Inc. seeks a Construction Manager for Fort Worth or Dallas, TX. You will oversee construction from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with client objectives.

You will manage field observations, review contractor work, and guide change orders, RFIs, and submittals while coordinating with owners, contractors, and design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years relevant construction experience as a construction representative or inspector.
• Proficient with a project management information system (PMIS) and MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee observation and inspection of ongoing construction work, including material sampling and testing, and measure quantities.
• Review contractor work for compliance and clarify contract documents.
• Lead change orders, schedule updates, RFIs, submittals, claims, pay requests, meetings, and closeout processes.
• Communicate with contractors about non-conforming work and with clients and design teams.
• Read plans to ensure construction aligns with specifications and assist with bid phase and pre-construction conferences.
• Oversee field staff, support sales and marketing efforts, and assist design phase as assigned.
