Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Construction Manager to lead field construction activities for large-scale manufacturing projects in the Houston area. This role ensures safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery from mobilization through turnover, coordinating with engineering, procurement, quality, and commissioning teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction management experience on large industrial or manufacturing projects.
• Experience managing projects valued at $100M+.
• Strong knowledge of civil, concrete, structural steel, mechanical, and electrical construction activities.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost controls, and field execution.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar construction software.
• Experience delivering greenfield manufacturing facilities from ground-up construction through startup.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction execution across multiple disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process utilities.
• Manage subcontractors, field engineers, superintendents, and craft personnel.
• Drive schedule performance through look-ahead planning and field coordination.
• Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and productivity metrics.
• Coordinate construction sequencing with engineering, procurement, quality, and commissioning teams.
• Resolve field issues, RFIs, constructability concerns, and contractor disputes.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Provide routine progress updates, risk assessments, and recovery plans to project leadership.
• Support startup, commissioning, punch list completion, and project turnover activities.

We are seeking a Construction Manager to support the execution of large-scale advanced manufacturing and industrial construction projects in the Houston area. This individual will lead field construction activities from mobilization through turnover, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.

The ideal candidate comes from a General Contractor, EPC, or owner-side construction background and has hands-on experience delivering major manufacturing facilities such as battery plants, semiconductor facilities, distribution centers, data centers, automotive manufacturing plants, or other advanced industrial projects.

Lead day-to-day construction execution across multiple disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process utilities.

Manage subcontractors, field engineers, superintendents, and craft personnel.

Drive schedule performance through look-ahead planning and field coordination.

Skills and Requirements

8+ years of construction management experience on large industrial or manufacturing projects.

Experience managing projects valued at $100M+.
