To ensure success as a Construction Manager, you should exhibit strong leadership and planning skills and have sound knowledge of industrial and commercial electrical systems. A top‑class Construction Manager will ensure that all the work done on site is completed on time and to code, requiring installers to pay attention to detail and adherence to construction drawings and specifications.

  • Keep track of inventory on site, inspect received deliveries and coordinate material purchasing with management.
  • Apply knowledge of NEC and other relevant codes to verify code compliance of installation.
  • Troubleshoot major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
  • Oversee the purchasing of electrical equipment and materials on‑site.
  • Coordinate with pre‑construction team to ensure a smooth handoff, including permits, surveying, site clearing and grading.
  • Ensure the work is completed on schedule.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Consult with designers, engineers, and workers on site. Submit RFIs to customer.

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • A good eye for detail.
  • Travel required 90%+ of time.
