Overview

We are seeking an experienced construction management professional to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects within the water and wastewater sector. This senior-level position will oversee construction activities, coordinate project teams, manage schedules and costs, and contribute to client engagement and business development.

The ideal candidate brings extensive construction management experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage large, multi-contract projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and oversee construction projects ranging from small and medium assignments to large, complex, multi-contract programs.
  • Monitor project schedules, costs, progress, risks, deficiencies, and potential overruns.
  • Lead and provide direction to construction representatives, specialists, and field personnel.
  • Manage construction activities including scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and claims.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Prepare project reports and maintain accurate construction and project documentation.
  • Support proposals, scopes of work, presentations, and client meetings related to infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Coordinate the review and approval of technical submittals and shop drawings.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual, and funding requirements.
  • Assist with claims documentation, dispute resolution, and related technical activities when required.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to construction management personnel.
  • Support the ongoing development and administration of the construction management practice.
Required and Desired Skillsets
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant construction management experience; equivalent directly related experience may be considered.
  • Experience managing complex infrastructure, utility, or public works construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and claims management.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with CADD, 3D/4D modeling, or related construction technologies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable government regulations, industry standards, and project requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and project priorities effectively.
  • Professional construction management certification is preferred.
  • Experience serving in a lead construction management or resident engineering role on major capital projects is highly desirable.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.
