Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related.
• Must be able to travel or relocate as needed.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (May–August).
• Enrolled at Colorado School of Mines, Iowa State University, Purdue University, University of Colorado Boulder, or University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a member of the Kiewit Scholars Program.
• Willing to access all points of a construction site in varying climates and environments.
• Demonstrates ethics, integrity, and safety passion.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, scheduling, quantity tracking, material procurement, contract administration, and supervision of field activities.
• Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques and solve minor technical problems on site.
• Maintain records of project progress, costs, and material usage.
• Plan and schedule job segments and coordinate with teams.
• Investigate problems or incidents and propose solutions.
• Review plans and specifications to determine material requirements and pricing.
• Work with suppliers to facilitate material delivery.
