Job summary

GFT, an award-winning architecture, engineering, and construction firm, invites driven students to join as a Construction Management Intern for the Mid-May through mid-August timeframe. You will work on real client projects, supported by experienced leaders, with mentorship and a path toward full-time opportunities.

Applicants should be enrolled in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and demonstrate coursework, internships, or related experience.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
Demonstrated interest in construction management through coursework, internships, or other work experiences.
Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management.
Ability to thrive in a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Will require outside work in a variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Support real client projects by participating in construction observation and/or inspection of construction activities.
Interface with the project team and task managers.
Review and update submittal status reports.
Assist with preparing schedule reports.
Maintain project files/documentation including logs.
Manage online project document control system.
Attend project meetings and assist with keeping minutes.
