GFT, an award-winning architecture, engineering and construction firm, is offering a Construction Management Intern role in Kansas City, MO. Mid-May through mid-August, join a highly functioning team and gain real-world experience while working on diverse projects.

The internship provides guidance and mentorship from experienced leaders and many interns convert to full-time employment. Salary ranges from $21.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated interest in construction management through applied coursework, prior internships, or other work experiences.
• Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Will require outside work in a variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support real client projects by participating in construction observation and/or inspection of construction activities.
• Interface with the project team and task managers.
• Review and update submittal status reports.
• Assist with preparing schedule reports.
• Maintain project files/documentation including logs.
• Manage online project document control system.
• Attend project meetings and assist with keeping minutes.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

During your internship,you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing construction services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship byexperienced construction leaders and professionalswith your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $21.00 - $28.00. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
