Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC in Fenton, MO is seeking a Construction Management Intern - Fire & Life Safety to gain hands-on experience with cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid preparations on electrical construction projects.

You will work closely with the Fire & Life Safety team and project managers, review plans, validate data, research vendor pricing, and contribute to cost databases and pre-construction planning. This internship provides a practical start to a career with ArchKey.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT INTERN - FIRE & LIFE SAFETY

This position is based out of our Fenton, MO office or a National Project Site.

About the position

Our summer internship program allows you to learn more about the electrical construction industry and our business before beginning your career after graduation. As an intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in analyzing project requirements and supporting fire & life safety installation and service initiatives. You’ll work closely with the Fire & Life Safety team and project managers, gaining valuable insights into the construction industry.

Day in the life

• Assist with quantity takeoffs and material cost calculations for various construction projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and documentation to prepare cost estimates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must currently be enrolled in a degree or certificate program in Construction Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Pay Range

• $22.00 or $24.00 per hour, based on college/grade level.
