Job summary

AECOM Hunt seeks a Construction Intern to join the Chicago, IL team on the Lake County Convention Center project. The internship starts Summer 2027 and offers exposure to field activities, project documentation, and coordination with a multi-disciplinary team.

You will assist project staff, support subcontractor coordination, and gain hands-on experience in construction management processes and safety practices under experienced leadership.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar and have completed at least 1 year of study.
• Recent graduates may apply if pursuing further degree in the same discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments to develop construction management knowledge and skills under supervision.
• Support Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers and team with day-to-day field activities.
• Assist with planning and coordination of subcontractor activities within an assigned area.
• Help monitor field activities for conformance with plans, specs, schedules, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Review project documentation, drawings, RFIs, submittals, logs, and reports.
• Utilize construction management systems to support documentation and tracking.
