Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Intern to join our team in Indianapolis, IN for Summer 2027. The role provides a broad, hands‑on learning experience across engineering, design, and construction management within a global firm.

Interns will develop professional skills, work on real projects, and gain exposure to industry best practices while collaborating with experienced professionals in a large infrastructure organization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering and/or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study.
• Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
• Preferred Qualifications include experience working for a general contractor and prior internship experience, plus exposure to construction-based software tools and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities.
• Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
• Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
• Interns are assigned duties that provide a broad, well‑rounded learning experience within their field of study.
