Job summary

DN is seeking a Construction Management Intern to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering and construction. You will work under a dedicated mentor on real projects, learning the lifecycle of heavy-civil construction from conception to completion.

You will identify suppliers, support bid pricing, and develop site layouts in AutoCAD while coordinating with multiple subcontractors. A CAD/Office skillset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate program.
• A concentration in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify local concrete suppliers and prepare pre-bid/post-bid pricing for concrete/shotcrete mixes.
• Work with concrete suppliers to develop and trial batch concrete/shotcrete mix designs; assist project engineers with submittals.
• Develop AutoCAD site layout drawings showing cut/fill slopes, ramps, work roads, crane positions, and casting bed locations.
• Coordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors.
• Perform jobsite pre-pour inspections with Project Engineers and Project Managers.
• Opportunity to visit construction sites during precast panel erection.
