Job summary

RAM Construction Services invites motivated students to join our Restoration + New Work internship for Spring/Summer 2027. You will gain field and office experience while being mentored by seasoned estimators and project managers.

The program emphasizes learning, discipline, and a proactive attitude with exposure to commercial construction, bid strategies, scheduling, submittals, and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management or related degree program.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and analyzing.
• Entry level estimating possible depending on experience.
• Project management support experience depending on qualifications.
• Experience with submittals and project manuals.
• Familiarity with reviewing project specs and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with estimating and project management tasks.
• Assist with bid strategies and negotiations.
• Create and manage project schedules.
• Prepare submittals and product knowledge materials.
• Forecast project outcomes and resource needs.
• Support job-site safety and site visits.

Key Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. You will need to be open to learning, disciplined and systems driven, detail oriented, and have a genuine interest in helping team members with a positive and pro-active attitude. Strong interest in Commercial construction, and comfortable meeting people. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education Required

Working towards completing your Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management.

Experience, Knowledge and Abilities Required

• Currently attending a college or university in a related degree program such as Construction Management, Business Administration, etc.
• Blueprint reading and analyzing.
• Entry level estimating (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Project Management Assisting (depending upon experience & qualifications)
• Completion of project submittals & manuals
• Preparing of product samples-project specific
• Reviewing project specifications and requirements
• Other duties as assigned by management

Technology

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of computers, including e-mail and word processing abilities, Excel, Microsoft Office & Outlook

Work Environment

The setting for this position is an office/ field hybrid.
