Job summary

OSU-Oklahoma City invites applications for a full-time teaching position to develop student critical thinking and subject mastery across construction-related courses. The role emphasizes curriculum development, assessment, and community engagement in a college setting.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in construction management (Master's preferred) and demonstrated teaching competence, communication, and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

  • Teaching competence: create lesson plans, materials, and assess learning.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken English; meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and LMS use.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, workloads, and public contact.
  • Passion for assisting customers and representing OSU-OKC positively.
  • History of ethical and professional behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 12–15 credit hours per term, including evenings/online if needed.
  • Maintain and update student/course records in the LMS.
  • Keep course outlines, objectives, and grading procedures current.
  • Advise students on course selection and paths.
  • Post and uphold office hours per guidelines.
  • Possibly serve as lead instructor.
  • Support retention strategies and assessment model.
  • Participate in special projects and committees.
  • Contribute to course and curriculum design/revisions.
  • Apply innovative instructional methods and ongoing development.
