Job summary

OSU-Oklahoma City is seeking a faculty member to teach and support student success. The position requires delivering classroom instruction, maintaining records, and advising students on course selection within a flexible schedule that may include evenings and online sessions.

Essential duties include course design, maintaining outlines and grading procedures, and contributing to retention strategies; a Master's degree is preferred, with experience in Canvas LMS and higher education teaching

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management discipline or related area.
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel; able to use email, internet, and LMS.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines.
  • Strong communication in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ethical and professional behavior; positive OSU-OKC representation.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a minimum twelve (12) credit hours per semester for laboratory classes or fifteen (15) credit hours for non-laboratory classes or equivalent service.
  • Maintain student and course records in the learning management system.
  • Maintain and file current course outlines, objectives, and grading procedures.
  • Advise and assist students in selecting appropriate academic courses.
  • Post and keep office hours per institutional guidelines.
  • May include lead instructor duties.
  • Implement retention strategies.
  • Implement the assessment model.
  • Serve on special projects and committees.
  • Assist in the designing/revising of courses and curricula.
  • Exhibit innovative and adaptive instructional methods.
  • Complete all mandatory training and participates in professional development each year.
  • Fulfill all faculty requirements as noted in the Faculty Handbook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
