Job summary

Sehlhorst Equipment Services is seeking a motivated Construction Management Co-op to join our project management team. This role supports planning, coordination, and execution of demolition, excavation, and site utilities projects, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience on active jobsites.

You'll assist with day-to-day coordination, scheduling, budgeting, submittals, RFIs, and documentation while participating in site visits and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and ability to work with diverse teams (office and field).
• Willingness to travel to jobsites as needed; familiarity with scheduling or project management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with day-to-day project coordination and administration.
• Support scheduling, budgeting, and progress tracking on active job sites.
• Help prepare and review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Participate in site visits and job walks to monitor progress and field conditions.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, material tracking, and cost estimating.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field crews on project needs.
• Help maintain project files, logs, and reports.
• Support safety compliance efforts and documentation on jobsites.
• Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes/action items

• Willingness to travel to jobsites as needed
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with scheduling or project management software a plus
• Interest in heavy civil, demolition, excavation, or site utilities construction preferred
