Overview

We’re searching for a versatile and reliable Construction Maintenance Technician to assist with a variety of tasks, including light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work. This role is ideal for a capable individual who can manage small home projects—from basic electrical and plumbing tasks to light carpentry and installation work—within Element Design Build Remodel. Element Design Build Remodel is a boutique firm specializing in high-end home remodeling in Northeast Ohio, offering comprehensive services from design to construction under one roof.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems.
• Handle basic electrical tasks, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
• Complete light carpentry work, including repairing or installing shelving, trim, and small wooden structures.
• Assist with countertop installation, including preparation, moving materials, and setting the countertop in place.
• Conduct general maintenance and repairs as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are used properly.
• Install new light fixtures and outlets.
• Install cabinets and perform trim work.
• Assist with countertop installation.
• Other general maintenance and repairs, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance or trades-related role.
• General knowledge of light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry techniques.
• Experience with or willingness to learn countertop installation procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.

Compensation
