Role Overview:

The Logistics Coordinator manages supply chain and logistics operations on construction sites, ensuring materials, equipment, and personnel are transported and delivered efficiently. This role collaborates closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain smooth operations and timely deliveries.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate procurement, transportation, and delivery of construction materials.
2. Maintain accurate inventory records and proper storage of materials.
3. Monitor material usage and reorder supplies to prevent delays.
4. Schedule and manage delivery and return of construction equipment.
5. Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced regularly.
6. Track equipment usage and optimize allocation to site activities.
7. Coordinate accommodation and logistical needs for site personnel.
8. Manage site access and security for deliveries and personnel.
9. Work with construction teams to align logistics with project schedules.
10. Maintain communication with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
11. Prepare reports on logistics activities, including material usage, equipment status, and personnel movements.
12. Conduct safety audits and inspections regularly.

Requirements:

1. 3+ years of logistics management experience, preferably in construction.
2. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
4. Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
5. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
6. Ability to handle physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.

Physical Activities:

May involve walking up to 5+ miles daily, standing for 8-10 hours, bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, crouching, kneeling in confined spaces, working at heights, on ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds. These physical demands are essential for job performance.
